Oh, sure, AT&T is a fine wireless company. And, they’ve had tons of success being the exclusive provider of the iPhone. And, I’ve been a loyal customer for years and years and years. (That is, if you count PacBell becoming Cingular and then becoming AT&T. Oh, and does anyone remember when AT&T was broken up because of anti-trust monopoly issues. Funny, huh?)
Anyway, as it happens, AT&T just recently divested themselves of a cell tower near where I live (they sold it to T-Mobile) and now I have virtually no coverage at home. So, when I see all these ads in their current campaign where EVERYTHING (the palm trees, the skyscrapers, the beer kegs, etc.) are meant to enforce the perception that customers get 5-bars of reception everywhere they live it just drives me crazy.

“More bars in more places?” Well, I think me and my 1-2 bars are going to be switching to TMobile soon. Anyone want to be in my “Fav-5?”
